SPRING TRAINING CAMP ITINERARY - JUNE 10-14, 2019

TRANSPORTATION:

Players are to provide their own transportation to and from camp and ALSO must provide your own transportation to team city if contracted.  Nearest airport to Camp is in Salisbury, Maryland. ALL PLAYERS MUST ARRANGE FLIGHTS FOR ARRIVAL BEFORE 12PM ON JUNE 10TH AND DEPART AFTER 5PM ON JUNE 14TH. The EPBL is not responsible for transportation until day 1 of games. Players are to provide their transportation to teams game 1 destination. The EPBL highly recommends purchasing a FLEXIBLE FLIGHT  where the dates can be changed. Injuries happen unexpectedly and players must have transportation available.

NOTE: There will be a shuttle for 20$ each way to and from Salisbury airport ONLY for those that request it by emailing baseball@empireproleague.com with the subject "Transportation from/to Airport". Please include your airline, flight number, and arrival time. You may contact (813) 220-6506 via TEXT ONLY for communication.

WHAT YOU’RE ALLOWED TO BRING OR BE DISMISSED FROM LEAGUE: MUST read and follow directions

You are ONLY allowed to bring a TOTAL OF 2 BAGS if you are signed for the season. Any more then two bags will result in dismissal or forced to leave bags behind without supervision. 1 carry on size personal bag  50 linear inches (22 x 18 x 10 in) or 127 centimeters (56 x 46 x 25 cm) and 1 baseball equipment bag. Any personal bag bigger then allowed size will be not be allowed to travel with team and team is not responsible for your belongings. There is laundry available so pack lightly.  You must bring your own BEDDING!  (Pillows, Sheets FOR TWIN BED, Covers, Towels, Shower Shoes, Soap, Personals) . You will need to have your own bedding throughout the season. Housing will be provided for contracted players during season. You must bring  MANDATORY, regular baseball ALL WHITE PANTS and ALL GRAY PANTS, Cleats and proper baseball equipment. If you make a team, all players will be required to wear a pair of black shorts. All players attending camp should be able to provide the following proper documentation (Valid passport or valid drivers license, social security information, employment visa information (for international only)) and must have personal health insurance.

JUNE 10 Monday - CHECK IN AND PLAYER EVALUATION DAY (We suggest players get to the Delaware region the night before or by noon on Monday.
  • 10:00am-12:00pm: Check in under Pavilion located in the back of the complex to get rooms and assignments. (Pavilion E - On Map at bottom of page) (Rooms are (6) on the map)
  • 12:30pm: Mandatory first camp meeting at Pavilion (E - On Map at bottom of page) Do not be late, ENFORCED. No excuses!
  • 1:00pm - 7:00pm: Player Evaluations begin on Field 7 (60, Offensive, Defensive, Pitching & 20 minute endurance) Everything to be done on FIELD 7
    • All Position Players to run 60 yard dash on right field line at 1:00pm on field 7. [Order: Outfielders, Infielders]
    • Pitchers and catchers Report to field 7 at 1:00pm for 10 pitch bullpen evaluation. Meet at home plate. Pitchers must be able to pitch in 2 games throughout the week. After bullpen, all pitchers must stay to shag for hitters (mandatory)[Order: By number provided at check in. 101, 102, etc.]
    • Catchers throw downs. Pop Times on field 7 following bullpen evaluations.
    • Outfielders following 60yd dash will get loose on left field side to prepare for outfield evaluations. When ready, head over to right field line to get evaluated. After evaluation, outfielders get ready to hit in order.
    • While Outfielders are evaluating, infielders get loose in the left field line to begin right after outfielders are finished. Will need 2 infielders and catchers for outfield evaluations.
    • Position players to hit immediately after fielding evaluations. One round of BP (10 cuts). [Order: Outfielders, 1B & 3B, SS & 2B, Catchers] on field 7. All players are to shag including pitchers (mandatory).
    • End of evaluation after BP.
  • 6:30pm: Break for Dinner
  • 8:45pm: Live Draft (Click Here) for managers only. Players feel free to follow draft online.

JUNE 11 Tuesday- Day 2
(All players must participate in every team scheduled activity)
  • 7:30am - 8:30am: Breakfast for players with plans.
  • 8:45am: Mandatory players meeting at Pavilion (Late players will be excluded from meeting and possibly released) No excuses!
  • 9:00am: Player Evaluations / Team Practices
  • 12:00pm: Break for lunch
  • 1:30pm: Simulation scrimmage game

JUNE 12 Wednesday - Day 3 
(All players must participate in every team scheduled activity)
  • 7:30am - 8:30am: Breakfast for players with plans.
  • 8:45am: Mandatory players meeting at Pavilion (Late players will be excluded from meeting and possibly released) No excuses!
  • 9:00am: First team practice begins
  • 12:00pm: Break for lunch
  • 1:30pm: Games Begin
    • Islanders vs Surge - Field 6
    • Explorers vs Thunderbirds - Field 7
    • Wild vs Bucks - Field 8

JUNE 13 Thursday - Day 4
(All players must participate in every team scheduled activity)
  • 7:30am - 8:30am: Breakfast for players with plans.
  • 10:00am: Mandatory players meeting at Pavilion (Late players will be excluded from meeting and possibly released) No excuses!
  • TBD: First team practice begins
  • TBD: Break for lunch
  • TBD: Games Begin
    • Wild vs Thunderbirds - Field 6
    • Islanders vs Bucks - Field 7
    • Explorers vs Surge - Field 8

JUNE 14 Friday - Final Day / Cuts / Check Out
  • 7:30am - 8:30am: Breakfast for players with plans.
  • 9:00am: Final Games
    • Explorers vs Bucks - Field 6
    • Wild vs Surge - Field 7
    • Islanders vs Thunderbirds - Field 8
  • 12:00pm: Check Rosters online for final EPBL rosters. Players on rosters meet at Pavilion for uniform and pictures.
  • 12:00pm: Break For Lunch
  • 2:00pm: Check out. All players must be completely checked out and out of facility. All trash must be taken out and rooms must be left clean. Failure to do so can result in dismissal or removal from professional baseball database.
