SPRING TRAINING CAMP ITINERARY – JUNE 4-8, 2018

LOCATION:   22518 LEWES GEORGETOWN HWY, GEORGETOWN, DE 19947, USA
check in:

All players must check in between 10am and 1pm on JUNE 4TH under the food pavilion located in the very back of the complex. You will verify your valid  ID and be assigned rooms for those that payed for housing.  Check in is with Player Director Jerry Gonzalez in the tables of the pavilion. Players are to check this link for any updates during camp. All changes and updates or anything last minute will be posted here as well as LIVE draft results.

TRANSPORTATION:

Players are to provide their own transportation to and from camp and ALSO must provide your own transportation to team city if contracted.  Nearest airport to Camp is in Salisbury, Maryland. ALL PLAYERS MUST ARRANGE FLIGHTS FOR ARRIVAL BEFORE 12PM ON JUNE 4TH AND DEPART AFTER 5PM ON FRIDAY JUNE 8TH. The EPBL is not responsible for transportation until day 1 of games. Players are to provide their transportation to teams game 1 destination. The EPBL highly recommends purchasing a FLEXIBLE FLIGHT  where the dates can be changed. Injuries happen unexpectedly and players must have transportation available.

NOTE: There will be a shuttle for 20$ each way to and from Salisbury airport ONLY for those that request it by emailing baseball@empireproleague.com with the subject “Transportation from/to Airport”. Please include your airline, flight number, and arrival time. You may contact (813) 220-6506 via TEXT ONLY for communication.

 

WHAT YOU’RE ALLOWED TO BRING OR BE DISMISSED FROM LEAGUE: MUST read and follow directions

You are ONLY allowed to bring a TOTAL OF 2 BAGS if you are signed for the season. Any more then two bags will result in dismissal or forced to leave bags behind without supervision. 1 carry on size personal bag  50 linear inches (22 x 18 x 10 in) or 127 centimeters (56 x 46 x 25 cm) and 1 baseball equipment bag. Any personal bag bigger then allowed size will be not be allowed to travel with team and team is not responsible for your belongings. There is laundry available so pack lightly.  You must bring your own BEDDING!  (Pillows, Sheets, Covers, Towels, Shower Shoes, Soap, Personal) . You will need to have your own bedding throughout the season. Housing will be provided for contracted players during season. You must bring  MANDATORY, regular baseball ALL WHITE PANTS and ALL GRAY PANTS, Cleats and proper baseball equipment. If you make a team, all players will be required to wear a pair of black shorts. All players attending camp should be able to provide the following proper documentation (Valid passport or valid drivers license, social security information, employment visa information (for international only)) and must have personal health insurance.

JUNE 4 monDAY – CHECK IN tryout day

12:00PM – 1:00PM: (ALL PLAYERS) must arrive and wait at the pavilion to CHECK IN WITH JERRY GONZALEZ (Please make your best effort at reserving flights and transportation to arrive during these times)

2:00PM: CAMP OPENING MEETING (ALL PLAYERS MANDATORY)

3:00PM: (ALL PLAYERS) TRYOUT CAMP EVALUATION DAY 1 ALL PLAYERS MEET FIELD 6 FOR TRYOUT.

  • 3:05-3:30PM: INDIVIDUAL STRETCH (WE WILL NOT WAIT, FOR YOU BE ON TIME)
  • 3:30-4:00PM: 60-YARD DASH FOR POSITION PLAYERS ONLY (PITCHERS MUST GET LOOSE TO THROW AT 4:00PM ON THE DOT IN THE ORDER OF YOUR NUMBER GIVEN AT CHECK IN
  • 4:00-4:40PM: PITCHERS 10-15 PITCH INDIVIDUAL BULLPEN (THROW ALL YOUR PITCHES) POSITION PLAYERS GET LOOSE, OUTFIELDERS WILL GO FIRST, INFIELDERS SECOND, CATCHERS THIRD. 
  • 4:45-5:15PM: OUTFIELDERS EVALUATION (THROWS TO 3RD & HOME)
  • 5:15-5:45PM: INFIELDERS EVALUATION (GROUND BALLS AND THROWS)
  • 5:45-6:00PM: CATCHERS EVALUATION (POP TIMES)
  • 6:00-FINISH: BATTING PRACTICE FOR POSITION PLAYERS ONLY (PITCHERS SHAG)

2:30PM – MUST BE COMPLETELY CHECKED OUT OF THE HOUSING FACILITIES
