PLATTSBURGH, NY –  Left handed pitcher Dimitri Nunez who is the ace of the Plattsburgh RedBirds has been promoted to the Normal Kornbelters of the Frontier League.

Dimitri, who has been phenomenal all season long, departs immediately and will become teammates with OOB Surge LHP Matt Picucci who has also been sent to the Normal Kornbelters of the frontier league.

Both lefties will continue their careers in baseball at a very high level of baseball and the Empire League congratulates them on their success.

“Dimitri was one of my pitchers last year, the guy throws 7 different pitches from 3 different angles and changes his timing. I had him train with Matt Joyce of the big leagues. This guy is good and very deserving. I am so happy to see him get this opportunity” VP of Baseball Jerry Gonzalez

Plattsburgh is eligible to sign a new player as this move falls into the category of players eligible to sign.
