PEGUERO SIGNS OUT OF ALL INDY SHOWCASE

YORK, PA – The Empire League held its annual All Indy Pro Showcase during the week where a filled Wellspan Stadium brought players from all over the nation to showcase in front of Atlantic League, Frontier League and Empire League coaches.

One player that stood out was right handed pitcher Matthew Peguero. Peguero came to the showcase after his time with the Tampa Bay Rays was up.

Peguero would showcase a 95 mile per hour heavy fastball complementing the slider and changeup.

Peguero drew interest from both the Empire State Greys of the Frontier League and the Lancaster Barnstormers, champions of last years Atlantic League. But it was the Empire State Greys that would snag Peguero and signed him for the 2023 season.

Peguero has a live arm and could be a top starter for the Empire State Greys.

The next All Indy Pro Showcase will take place at Wellspan Park, Home of the York Revolution of the Atlantic League, next year at the beginning of April where it has taken place every year for the past four season.
