SARANAC LAKE, NY – The Empire League Board of director’s announced Monday that it will play most of its 2021 games in the state of New York. With the Covid restrictions still in place in various locations of operations, the league has reached its time limit on making important timely decisions and adjustments for the 2021 season operations. Scheduling, transportation and housing are among most important functions that are top priority to keeping the League operating safely for our players and our communities. For this upcoming 2021 season, teams will travel between New York and New Hampshire but will not be traveling in and out of Georgia or Puerto Rico.
The League is still planning on executing a full regular season with alternate remote sites that will host games in New York. At this point it can be said that baseball games will likely be played in Tupper Lake NY, Saranac Lake NY, Lyon Mountain NY, Plattsburgh NY and New Hampshire.
As the League continues to grow and improve, executives are looking forward to the 2022 season and finally executing the expansion plans in place.
