Tupper Lake, NY – The Tupper Lake Riverpigs are off to another great start to a season as they have won the first 3 games of the year. However it has not been easy.
The Riverpigs defeated the Plattsburgh Thunderbirds in Walk-Off fashion by a score of 4-3 on a stolen base that scored the winning run.
The team would then face the rivals Saranac Lake Surge on June 10th. A game where the Riverpigs led 6-0 before Salix Felix belted a homer over the left field wall for the Surge to make it 6-2. The surge would come all the way back within 1 in the 8th inning but wasn’t enough as the Riverpigs took the first Rival game by a score of 7-5.
The Riverpigs would ace the Japan Islanders in a game where the Riverpigs did not have the lead until the end when in the 11th inning the Riverpigs would walk-off on a wild pitch to get them to a (3-0) start.
The Riverpigs would take on the Surge on Wednesday at Municipal Park at 7:00pm.
