With Tupper Lake losing one game to the New Hampshire Wild, The Surge separated themselves as the leaders of the Empire League and have won the Pennant.

JULY 17, 2021, TUPPER LAKE, NY – This years Empire Baseball League All Star Game brought a pre game concert by Nashville Recording Artist Jamie Lee Thurston to Tupper Lake, New York. Thurston, who has recorded many songs including songs in the Top 20, Top 40 and Top 100, took the stage at the Tupper Lake Municipal Park Bandshell for an incredible All Star Game concert. After the Concert, Thurston took the field with the Empire Baseball league All Stars to sing the National Anthem in front of a sold out crowd. JULY 17, 2021 – TUPPER LAKE, NY – New Hampshire Wilds own catcher Andrew Noviello who hit fourth for the All Star East team has won the 2021 Empire League All Star Game Most Valuable Player Award.

Noviello crushed a 3- run homer off west starter Joey Lara in the Top of the first inning to take a 3-0 lead.

Noviello continues to impress in the Empire League as he is tied for the league lead in homers with 6, tied with Tupper Lake Riverpigs outfielder Edward Salcedo.

Play continues on Monday July 19th when the Wild take on the Saranac Lake Surge in a double header makeup rain out.

July 16, 2021 – Tupper Lake, NY – Malvin Matos has won the 2021 Empire Baseball league Home Run Derby contest after defeating Drew Thomas and Edward Salcedo of the Tupper Lake Riverpigs in the final Rounds.

Matos belted two big blasts into the lake behind the left field wall at Municipal Park to take the lead and the victory.

Matos becomes the 5th Annual Empire League Home Run Derby Contest winner. Teammate Luis Rojas pitched to him.

Teammate Richard Miller hit the first homer of the night and made it to the Semi-Final round.
