WILD TO PLAY ITS GAMES IN NEW HAMPSHIRE

NEW HAMPSHIRE – Today the Empire League finalized a deal that will allow the Wild to return to New Hampshire where the franchise first started.

The Wild, formerly managed by VP of Baseball Jerry Gonzalez, played their first season in Rindge, New Hampshire. After being away for a season, the Wild have returned home and will play the 2018 season of the Empire Professional Baseball League in New Hampshire.

More details will be publicized as the team schedules are set.

CATCHER JAKE SIMPSON SIGNS WITH TRAVERSE CITY OF THE FRONTIER LEAGUE

MICHIGAN – Jake Simpson, catcher for the Old Orchard Beach Surge has signed with the Traverse City Beach Bums after a season with the Empire League.

Jake played 41 games and had 158 total plate appearances. He made the most out of it batting .290 average with 17 runs scored and 22 runs batted in. Jake success comes as no surprise as the 6’5″ 230 pound catcher will now be putting on a frontier league uniform at the age of 22.

“Jake’s a big tall catcher. He has a good bat and works hard behind the plate. On the field he goes about his business and we are happy to see him get an opportunity in the Frontier League as we are for all the players that have played in the Empire League. We wish him the best of luck in his young career.” – VP Jerry Gonzalez

Jake will try to help the Beach Bums bounce back this year as the team ended in last place in 2017 with a (37-59) record which was 11th out of 12 teams in the league.

EDWIN ARROYO SENT TO CHICAGO DOGS OF THE AA

TAMPA, FL – The newest franchise of the American Association has called on the Empire League to help fill a need and has signed one of the 2017 Empire League top hitters in Edwin Arroyo.

Arroyo, who previously earned a Gold Glove in the Puerto Rico doble A league, signed with the Old Orchard Beach Surge in a move that sent former Miami Hurricane Sebastian Diaz to the CanAm League. Arroyo was later traded to the Puerto Rico Islanders where he led the team to a near playoff appearance by just one game.

The Chicago Dogs are the newest franchise in the American Association. The team is managed by experienced coach Butch Hobson.

Arroyo will report to spring training and will be on the opening day roster as the teams second baseman.

2018 EARLY CAMP REGISTRATION LAST CALL

TAMPA, FL – The Empire League spring training where all team rosters are filled are making its last call for  Early Registration.  To be accepted Click Here or visit the 2018 Tryouts Link and fill out player acceptance form.
We are officially in the final stretch of the sponsored early registration period. This is the chance players have had to attend the week long camp at a discounted rate thanks to our sponsors.
On January 15th this period will come to an end. We encourage all players accepted to reserve their camp entry with their Registration or housing deposit. After January 15th the camp entry cost will go back up to its original prices and this is the only way to save several hundred dollars for this great event. Fill out the Players Acceptance form and you will be contacted by VP of Baseball and League Director Jerry Gonzalez to finalize the process. This is a first come first gets opportunity until event is filled. With the high demand from players wanting to get in registration will remain open, but discounted price ends January 15th.
Fill out Player acceptance form, and if accepted a simple 50% deposit will get you in.

2018 EARLY ACCEPTANCE AND REGISTRATION PERIOD ANNOUNCED

TAMPA, FL –  The Empire League has announced its early acceptance and registration periods for the 2018 Regular Season Camps. So far, 3 camps have been announced.  Locations in California, Puerto Rico and Delaware.

Current sponsorship assisted prices are available until January 15th to be accepted and registered to any or all of the 3 camps before pricing will assume its original price. Players are recommended to apply for acceptance and register after acceptance to secure their spot at any camp for a chance to make one of the Empire League Teams.

Only accepted players will be allowed to participate in the tryout camp. The Empire League will only accept a specific amount of players into camp. Limited spots are available. To register for acceptance into any Tryout camp, Click the button below. To all players that are interested in breaking in to the professional baseball industry, here are your tryout chances. All Players that play in the Empire League will not be affected for the MLB Draft. The Empire League has signed 40%-50% of total camp participants and has promoted 25% of its contracted players. Only players that attend any Empire League Tryout camps are eligible to sign to the Empire League.  There will be no out sourced signing. You must attend a league tryout camp to make one of the  team rosters. All managers will make their teams out of only Empire League Tryouts and Camps

  • Cost: $75 for Pitchers and $150 for Position players and 2-Way players  – Must Pay Online! No Walk-Ups!

  • Instructions: Get Accepted, Pay Registration Fee, Check in at Location 8:30am
  • Other: This tryout is for players born in Puerto Rico.

2018 EPBL CALIFORNIA TRYOUT CAMP

  • Date: March 31 – April 1 – TWO DAY
  • Time: Check in 8:30am and 9:00am Start DO NOT BE LATE.
  • Cost: $175 Position Players / 2-Way Players and $100 for Pitchers.  Must Pay online! No Walk Ups
  • Location: Los Angeles/Hacienda Heights, California
  • Instructions: Get Accepted, Pay Registration Fee.

2018 EPBL DELAWARE TRYOUT CAMP

  • Date: June 4-8, 2018 – WEEK LONG, MOST OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE A TEAM!
  • Cost: $795 Position Players / 2-Way Players and $595 for Pitchers (Housing and Meals Options Available)
