New York, New York –  Gavin Stupienski came to the Empire League in 2019 as a top prospect catcher looking to return to affiliated baseball. He was taken by the Plattsburgh Thunderbirds, moved to the Sussex County Miners, and now finds himself signed with the Kansas City Royals.

Within the first week of the season with the Plattsburgh Thunderbirds, Stupienski  was needed by the Sussex County Miners. He had just 8 At Bats. In those 8 AB’s, he had 1 homer and 3 RBI’s.

Stupienski is a strong and intelligent catcher that can swing it from the left side and there is no surprise that he is signed by the Royals.

FT. MYERS, FL –   The  Empire  Pro Baseball Showcase Organization  will hold  its 2nd Pro Tryout of 2021 in Ft Myers Florida at the Lee County Player Development Complex.

These annual tryout camps are designed for players to showcase their talent in  front of the Empire  Scouting executives  who have large responsibility in  providing player data to  MLB scouts,  MLB partnered leagues like the Atlantic, American Association, and Frontier.

The direct network and connection to  teams  in those leagues  is what makes the showcase camps special.  Players that are not immediately signed to contracts in MLB partnered leagues can also be signed to play in

the Empire League which serves as a feeder league keeping players ready developing and in shape   with a opportunity to prove they deserve to be sent to a higher level Pro League.

The 2 day camp will take place May 17th  & 18th in  Ft . Myers, FL at the former home of the Boston Red Sox. Players eligible to attend must have played college baseball  or have under 3 years of Pro level experience.
